Auto Capping Program [28 Dec 2009|08:10pm] icon_tutorial [britt_m_89] I use to auto cap using KMPlayer, but now I want to auto cap a DVD and it won't let me.  I'm in search for a new program. I've tried VLC player but I can't get it to work right for me. I really don't want to rip the DVD to my hard drive. If someone could tell me of a free program I could use, it would make my day. Skin Tone Help [28 Dec 2009|07:44pm] icon_tutorial [riverofnara] Hello! I have a scanned image where part of the skin seems darker/uneven compared to the rest of the face. ( 2 decent-sized images under here ) I've tried duplicating the layer, erasing everything but the skin, and then gaussian blur but there is still a difference in tone. I'm using Photoshop 6. Can`t Import Video Frames To Layers [26 Dec 2009|04:54pm] icon_tutorial [brunetteheart]  I want to make a GIF out of a video but when I go to File > Import > Video Frames To Layers and select my video, this is what appears: It`s just white and the video doesn`t apper. The format of the video is .AVI if that`s any help. But when I try other videos in the same format, the video appears.  *To get the video, I captured it using KM Player because the whole video was too long. ( It`s a movie. ) How do I fix this? Does PowerDVD only cap DVDs, or is it possible to cap files as well? (Note: I just tried to cap from a DVD and it worked, so my program IS working.) I use Photoshop CS4.I've been seeing a certain effect around the graphics circuit and I'm not sure how it's done. (made by pinkcupcake Is it a special brush that is only of the outline, or is it the actual picture that has been edited to look like that? I have seen this style done with so many types of images. This is one of those questions. I've read this tutorial on image file formats. I save my icons in PSCS3 as .PNG-24 via "Save for Web & Devices" with Interlaced and Transparency checked. I use the latest version of Firefox. The icons look fine on tinypic and imageshack, if slightly more faded, but if I post them to my journal the colors change and more specifically the same icon appears differently on my profile page than it does in the navigation bar. Is this an LJ issue or can I do anything to change this? Example: the top icon looks like it does in PS the bottom one looks uglier, with less contrast ETA: it's the same difference with my icon in this post and the icon that shows I'm logged in in the navigation strip. 9 comments|post comment
